Maya Books/Tutorials

I recently decided to start learning some real 3D modelling, and am searching for tutorials and the like to get started. I've been playing with both Blender and Maya (perferring the latter), and they each have a bit of a learning curve, but I've managed to make some interesting deformations; pity I can't seem to figure out how I made them, haha!

I'm currently looking at getting one of two books:
If you have recommendations for either of these books, or for completely different books or even online tutorials, I'd be most appreciative. Thanks!
