Mr. Wizard

Seems that Don Herbert, also known as "Mr. Wizard" from his shows "Watch Mr. Wizard" on NBC in the 1950s and 60s and "Mr. Wizard's World" on Nickelodeon in the 1980s, died yesterday due to cancer.

He was a fond television memory of my younger years (along with Bob Ross who died back in 1995), and did much to encourage children to learn and understand science.

More information is available here. A few videos from his shows can be found here, for those who want to relive the memories.
