Family Reunion

Well, sort of. Yesterday was... well, crazy to say the least. But in the end, things worked out, and I feel better for it. I still feel something is missing from my life, but then, I suppose very few truly find what they're looking for, let alone know what that may really be.

In short, a bunch of my old friends from Undernet got together last last night on our Anthrochat channel, #fsun. It was totally imprompto, but it was a wonderful time, if brief. I think maybe that's what it is I need in my life, that feeling of family. I miss them all so very much, and I'm saddened that I won't get to see most of them in real life later this year. Still, the happiness I felt during that time, I've carried with me much of the day. I just feel content with myself right now, in this moment.

Thanks guys, all of you who decided to show up and keep an old fox company. I love you all.

Difficult questions

Abortion?:Pro-choice, though I do think it's a decision not to be taken lightly.
Death Penalty?:For in the case of certain malicious crimes, but only if the evidence is overwhelming.
Prostitution?:Not my thing, but I'll say I'm in favor of making it legal, though I would like to see it regulated for safety reasons.
Alcohol?:I don't like the stuff myself, but for, so long as folks drink responsibly.
Marijuana?:Same with alcohol.
Other drugs?:Eh, depends on the drug. Most probably should remain illegal, as they're deadly and/or physically addictive.
Gay marriage?:Very much for. I think its wrong to deny marriage to those who truly love one another. Why should anyone else care?
Illegal immigrants?:Against, mostly because of the state of the economy; there's just not enough jobs to go around, even for folks who are here legally.
Smoking?:Mildly against. That stuff is more physically damaging than marijuana, and very addictive, but if it was banned a lot of folks would be out of work; bad with our economy.
Drunk driving?:Very against... duh!
Cloning?:Not against, though I think we need to fully consider the reasons and uses for this technology before we go into any mass human cloning.
Racism?:Highly against, though I've come to understand that most of us have little things that bug us (e.g. "Mexican busboys should learn to speak @#$% English!" to quote the broadway show Avenue Q, hehe).
Premarital sex?:Why not, as long as folks understand how to do it safely. I think we really have to stop caring what consenting adults do with one another in private.
Religion?:Not really against, though I am highly against idiotic dogma, hate and misunderstanding. I'm also strongly against proselytizing.
The war in Iraq?:Against, since it's all about oil anyway, that, and trying to make Bush look good.
Bush?:Highly against. Visit http://www.JohnKerryIsADoucheBagButImVotingForHimAnyway.com
Downloading music?:Legal downloads, certainly. Illegal downloads, mildly against, though I don't condone the RIAA's actions.
The legal drinking age?:I've no problem if this is reduced, with limits, such as only being allowed to do it at home, or a place you'll be staying until you're sober.
Porn?:Not really my thing, but I'm for it. I personally think it's insane that the human body is considered indecent, yet violence is acceptable.
Suicide?:Against, though I think it's foolish that it's illegal. I do, however, feel that services to help should be more freely available and advertised.
